Is Young Sheldon coming to Fortnite?

Young Sheldon is a character that players would love to see in Fortnite, following the success of The Big Bang Theory spin-off. While leaks suggest that the character will be coming to the game, are they true?

Epic Games doesn’t shy away from collaborations. With the Peter Griffin collaboration finally going live, players are now wondering if the rumors about Young Sheldon in Fortnite will also be true.

For context, images related to the Family Guy collaboration were seen in the game files in 2021. Considering that there was no further evidence to support those leaks, it was dubbed as a hoax at the time.

So it’s not surprising to see players wonder about the truth behind the Young Sheldon skin in Fortnite. Here’s everything we know.

Is there a Fortnite x Young Sheldon collaboration on the cards?

As the time of writing, there is no evidence to suggest that a Fortnite x Young Sheldon collaboration is on the cards. The leaks that surfaced on X (formerly Twitter) in December last year were proved to be a hoax.

Popular data miner iFiremonkey denied the credibility of these leaks on Twitter. They said that they found it funny that people used the names of popular data miners to post fake leaks on TikTok, before the Fortnite dataminer urged players to check the credibility of the leak.

They added that the Fortnite x Young Sheldon collaboration was not happening, at least not at this point. Files related to the collaboration have not been found in the game files. The reason these leaks received such hype was because of the Chapter 4 Season 5 live event. The event was titled Big Bang, and Sheldon Cooper is one of the main characters in The Big Bang Theory and its spin-off Young Sheldon.

The latter follows the everyday life of a young Sheldon Cooper, a child prodigy who’s trying to make sense of everything that’s going on around him. The show began in 2017 and the final season is being aired this year. This could be another reason why the leaks received so much attention when they surfaced.

That said, just because the collaboration isn’t happening now, doesn’t mean there’s no chance of it happening in the future. Epic Games is known for its collaborations and might sign a deal to include the Young Sheldon Fortnite skin in the future.
