Leaks have revealed that Epic Games are going to start the build-up to Fortnite Chapter 5 Season 2 with a special live event in-game. Here’s how to watch the Fortnite Chapter 5 Season 2 live event, including when and what will happen.

Fortnite Chapter 5 Season 2 is almost upon us, and although the devs haven’t revealed too many official details, information is starting to slip through the cracks. The new era will reportedly have a Greek mythology theme, which was supported by the leaked Battle Pass featuring skins for Zeus, Ares, and more.

Epic have already started preparations for Season 2, as cracks have appeared around the map that are said to be an indication of a mini-live event that players will be able to take part in.

Here’s how to watch the Fortnite Chapter 5 Season 2 live event, including the date and time you can expect to happen.

Fortnite Chapter 5 Season 2 live event date & time

The Fortnite Chapter 5 Season 2 mini-event is expected to take place on Saturday, March 2, 2024, at around 1 PM ET / 10 AM PT / 6 PM GMT, despite leaks that it was going to happen on February 29.

Since February 27 earthquakes have been taking place in-game, and now a crater and cracks have appeared on the map that indicate the event is getting closer. Reliable Fortnite leaker Shiina has calculated that the cracks are a sort of countdown to the live event, calculating that it will take place on this date and time.

Fortnite’s Senior Programmer warned players not to trust everything dataminers say on X, and also claimed that the crater would need to get “bigger” before anything happens, hinting that the cracks are a sort of countdown to the event.

There are a total of five cracks, and some believe that once all five of these have lava glowing from them, this is when the event will begin and the Titan’s Hand will emerge from the ground.

How to watch Fortnite Chapter 5 Season 2 live event

The Fortnite Chapter 5 Season 2 is expected to happen naturally within regular matches, meaning it will be visible for anybody playing at that time.

In the past, the game’s big live events, like The Big Bang, were broken into a separate playlist that players had to load into. This allowed anybody who missed the show to catch up later or replay it if they wanted to.

However, since this is set to be a more lowkey mini-event, it appears that it’s a one-and-done affair that you’ll have to catch at the right time.

What to expect in Fortnite Chapter 5 Season 2 live event

The Fortnite Chapter 5 Season 2 live event will see a large Titan hand holding Pandora’s Box burst from the ground, as revealed by leaks. Players will then be asked to attack the hand to break the chains and force it to drop the box onto the map.

Once the hand is defeated, Pandora’s Box will open and release a beam of light up to the sky, likely starting the countdown to Chapter 5 Season 2 and the arrival of Greek gods.

That was everything you need to know about the Fortnite Chapter 5 Season live event. We’ll be sure to keep this page updated with any new details.
