Skins in the Fortnite Battle Pass are some of the best ones in the game. However, the fact that they’re restricted to a specific season has many players upset.

It is very common to see a plethora of skins make a regular appearance in the Fortnite Item Shop. However, the skins that are exclusive to a Battle Pass have never made it to the in-game store.

As pointed out by ‘good_guy_red’ on Reddit, the chatter around older Fortnite Battle Pass skins has been at an all-time high. The OP wondered what the potential reason behind it could be.

Many players have responded to this question by saying that Epic Games should release reskinned variants of the Fortnite Battle Pass skins. They’ve also suggested that a huge influx of new players could be the reason behind the increased talks about older Battle Pass skins.

Fortnite saw a massive rise in the number of players with the OG season. Most of these were new players who didn’t get to experience some of the older skins in the game.

Throughout four chapters, Epic Games has produced some really good-looking skins, some of which were tied intricately with the lore. Not just that, some collaboration skins like Lara Croft or Rick Sanchez were also exclusive Fortnite Battle Pass skins. Many have stated that they would purchase these skins if the developers brought them back to the Item Shop.

Players believed that Epic Games could adopt a system like Fallout 76, which makes the seasonal Battle Pass free for all, with the promise that the cosmetics featured could be purchased for Atoms later on.

Alternatively, players felt the developers could also release a Fortnite Battle Pass with all the classic skins in the game. This could be a nice opportunity for newer fans to earn some of the best skins released so far.

At this point, it’s unlikely that Epic Games will sell the Battle Pass exclusive skins in the in-game store. However, there’s always a possibility that they might change their stance in the future.
