Best Fortnite guns: Every Chapter 3, Season 2 weapon ranked
Fortnite Season 2 has a wide assortment of great weapons to choose from, and here are the best ones in the game.

Fortnite Chapter 3, Season 2 is here and brings plenty of powerful weapons for players to wield. Find out which one is most powerful with our complete ranking of the best Fortnite guns.
Just when you think Epic Games can’t shake things up anymore, the team finds a way. Fortnite Chapter 3, Season 2 brought the biggest change the game had ever seen by removing building entirely.
While it’s now back, the decision proved so popular that Epic created specific Zero Build modes just for those who want a simpler Fortnite experience.
Of course, some things never change though, and players who are jumping out of the Battle Bus in Season 2 are still searching for Victory Royales. What are the best weapons to use in this quest, you ask? We’ve got everything you need to know, including a full ranked list of every weapon in the new season.

Every Fortnite Season 2 weapon ranked
11. Striker Pump Shotgun
10. Revolver
9. Auto Shotgun
8. Ranger Assault Rifle
7. Sidearm Pistol
6. Drum Shotgun
5. Striker Burst Rifle
4. Hunter Bolt-Action Sniper Rifle
3. Combat SMG
2. Stinger SMG
1. Thermal Scoped Assault Rifle
With 11 weapons in the game right now, it was tough to rank them all. While some weapons are powerful and take their place at the top easily, other guns are a little harder to review, with some of the less powerful options proving tough to rank.
Still, the Striker Pump Shotgun is the worst gun in the game at the moment. It’s not terrible, but its slow rate of fire makes it impossible to use up close, where Shotguns should thrive. The Revolver isn’t much better but just sneaks ahead.

It’s clear that Epic have worked hard to move away from the Shotgun-dominated metas we’ve seen in the past, with none of them making the top five.

5. Striker Burst Rifle

The Striker Burst Rifle is a two-shot burst semi-automatic weapon, which can really pack a punch.

Equipped with a red dot sight, players can use this at range to take down enemies, although it does have some powerful recoil that can be tough to control.
DPS | Fire Rate | Reload Time | Mag Size |
131.4 | 3.86 | 2.34s | 20 |
4. Hunter Bolt-Action Sniper Rifle

The Hunter Bolt-Action Sniper Rifle is the only Sniper in Season 2 at the moment, but that doesn’t mean it doesn’t hit hard.
With a 2x Headshot multiplayer, one shot to the dome of an enemy is enough to wipe out their shields and leave them with very little health, making them easy pickings. If they have no shields, it’s a one-shot kill to the head.
DPS | Fire Rate | Reload Time | Mag Size |
63.36 | 0.64 | 3s | 3 |
3. Combat SMG

A fast-firing SMG with a tight spread, the Combat SMG is a strong option when you find yourself up close and personal with an enemy.
A really great option, the only thing that keeps this in third place is its recoil, which can be challenging to control if you want to be accurate.
DPS | Fire Rate | Reload Time | Mag Size |
264 | 12 | 2.16s | 32 |
2. Stinger SMG

The Stinger SMG isn’t as powerful as the Combat SMG, but with a small spread and low recoil, it’s much easier to control this weapon, allowing it to just pip its rival to second place.
Oddly, the Stinger SMG is most effective at medium range, but it’s still a useful option when an enemy gets too close.
DPS | Fire Rate | Reload Time | Mag Size |
228 | 12 | 2.25s | 30 |
1. Thermal Scoped Assault Rifle

The Thermal Scoped Assault Rifle is a proper monster. Not only does it have good damage-per-second, it also has a quick reload time, meaning you can keep firing it at speed.
Most importantly though, the Thermal Scope makes it very useful for finding enemies and will make it easier to hit your shots once you discover them.
DPS | Fire Rate | Reload Time | Mag Size |
124 | 4.0 | 2.1s | 15 |
That covers our best Fortnite Chapter 3, Season 2 guns. As always, we expect more weapons to be added as the season goes on, which will surely shake up the meta even further.
