Pump Shotgun in Fortnite OG

Fortnite Chapter 4 Season 5 has taken players down memory lane with the return of the OG map. Classic weapons such as the Pump Shotgun have been unvaulted as part of the new season, leading players to wonder if the Double Pump meta is back.

Fortnite Chapter 4 Season 5 is finally here, with a record-breaking amount of players jumping in. Also known as Season OG, it sees the return of the OG map along with all of its popular POIs. The latest season also comes with a brand-new Battle Pass and a new set of Quests to complete.

The devs have enhanced the nostalgic trip by unvaulting Chapter 1 weapons such as the Assault Rifle and Hunting Rifle. Also making a return is the classic Pump Shotgun which was a central part of the game’s meta back in the day.

It involved carrying two Pump Shotguns and quickly switching between them after firing. This trick bypassed the cooldown between shots and allowed players to dish out an almost unfair amount of damage.

With the Pump Shotgun now back in Fortnite OG, players have been wondering if the Double Pump meta has returned as well.

Fortnite OG: Is Double Pump meta back?

The Double Pump meta has not returned with Fortnite OG. Just like all the other Shotguns in the game, a swap delay kicks in after firing the weapon. This prevents players from getting off another shot in quick succession and keeping things fair.

While many players will be glad to hear that the meta is dead and buried, some might feel disappointed as the meta was a memorable part of Chapter 1. Nevertheless, it does save them from taking two devasting hits without having a moment to retaliate.

That was everything to know about the Double Pump meta in Fortnite OG. For more on the game, check out our other guides:
