After first featuring in FIFA 23, the Griddy celebration has made a return in EA FC 24. The dance move was widely used in the previous game, often for trolling purposes, but it was popular nonetheless. With this in mind, here’s how to Griddy in EA FC 24.

EA FC 24 is the latest entry into EA Sports’ long-running football sim franchise. Despite the name change, the core experience is largely the same. The game packs in popular modes such as Ultimate Team and Career Mode alongside many familiar gameplay mechanics.

This includes goal celebrations that come into play after the ball hits the back of the net. Whether it’s a tap-in or 40-yard screamers, celebrating with style is essential. One celebration that is the go-to for many players is the Griddy.

EA FC 24: How to do the Griddy celebration

To do the Griddy in EA FC 24, hold down the R2 button and flick the right stick up twice. If you’re on Xbox, hold down RT and flick RS up twice.

The celebration itself is a little dance move that sees the player skip forward while swinging their arms back and forth before making a glasses-like gesture. It was created by high school American football player Allen Davis who later signed a deal that made the Griddy exclusive to EA Sports’ games.

The celebration enjoyed plenty of airtime in the NFL before making its way into European football. USMNT star Christian Pulisic was among the first players to pull it off, with more players joining in on the fun, including Rafael Leao and Jeremy Doku.
