Diablo 4 Season of Blood introduced five World Bosses to challenge every class build known in Sanctuary. Even if it’s one of the hardest bosses to summon, Grigoire The Galvanic Saint has proven to be one of the favorite fights of the Season 2 progression.

Grigoire The Galvanic Saint can only be found on World Tier Nightmare or World Tier Torment, and his Lightning attacks are prepared to knock off even the tankiest characters. If you want to test your luck with him, here’s everything you need to know on how to beat him in Diablo 4 Season 2.

Who is Grigoire The Galvanic Saint in Diablo 4?

Grigoire, The Galvanic Saint, is one of the endgame bosses in Diablo 4. As one of the most difficult challenges in Sanctuary, players will only be able to summon him by consuming the rarest material that could be farmed in the game: Living Steel.

Grigoire will use high-damage AoE lightning attacks that usually aim to trap players and finish them off with his Knight Penitents.

You’ll be able to find Grigoire inside the Hall of the Penitent in Dindai Flats, beside the Forgotten Depths Dungeon in the Dry Steppes region.

How to summon Grigoire The Galvanic Saint in Diablo 4 Season 2

In order to summon Grigoire The Galvanic Saint in Diablo 4, you’ll need to collect 5 Living Steel (World Tier 4) or 2 Living Steel (World Tier 3). These are a rare find, but you’ll be able to get some if you go after Tortured Offering chests in Helltide events.

You’ll need Aberrant Cinders to open these chests, so you’ll have to generally participate in Helltides to farm both items.

When you’re ready, you can head into the Hall of the Penitent and find the Light-Touched Altar. There, you’ll need to consume the Living Steel to summon Grigoire.

How to beat Grigoire The Galvanic Saint in Diablo 4 Season of Blood

Grigoire the Galvanic Saint is a tricky endgame boss that usually uses lightning elemental attacks. Remember that this boss mainly uses AoE attacks that can quickly finish you off if he manages to trap you.

Since Grigoire’s attacks are mostly to his front, you can try evading his skills by attacking him from the rear. Make sure to stay away from his melee weapon, which he usually swings during his summons.

Grigoire The Galvanic Saint boss fight Diablo 4
Grigoire can teleport in and out of its lightning maze for surprise attacks.

This Diablo 4 boss is also famous for summoning chains of lightning that appear in the arena and red lightning balls that bounce around through the field. Make sure to stay away from the red marks that appear on the floor since they mark the area briefly before the lightning strikes.

If you remember to attack him from his rear and try not to get trapped by his maze-like lightning pattern, you can easily defeat his Knight Penitents and land a couple of blows to beat him. Here’s the list of Grigoire The Galvanic Saint’s attacks you’ll need to watch out:

  • Thunderous Entrance: He’ll enter the fight calling down lightning onto the arena.
  • Lightning Call: Grigoire slams his mace on the ground and calls lightning down to the battlefield.
  • Dancing Bolts: He’ll shoot multiple balls of lightning that bounce around the arena.
  • Red Lanes: He summons pillars that connect through red lightning rods.
  • Saintly Call: He summons multiple Knight Penitents to swarm you.

And that’s everything you need to do to defeat Grigoire The Galvanic Saint in Diablo 4 Season of Blood. If you want to know more about Blizzard’s legendary ARPG, you can check our guides below:
