Although Diablo 4 hasn’t seen many bugs and glitches since launch, one player was asked to download billions of gigabytes for the latest patch update in Season 3, and the community loved it.

Diablo 4 has just started its Season 3 on January 23, leaving behind a highly-acclaimed Season 2. However, it received its fair share of criticism at launch as players from all over the world complained about the new mechanics like Vaults and Constructs.

However, Blizzard quickly released a patch to try and fix most of the issues, winning back a good chunk of the fanbase since then. However, one player experienced a hilarious bug while downloading the patch as they needed billions of gigabytes needed for the update.

Reddit user ‘ImNewHere76’ shared a screenshot of their Diablo 4 update screen as they sarcastically questioned: “Is this a game patch or am I downloading reality itself?” With a download size of almost 18.5 billion gigabytes, the OP was clearly confused.

However, the community did not ignore the opportunity, as the thread was filled with lighthearted sarcasm and jokes. A player added that the OP was downloading “the stash tabs of all the players” while others claimed that it was “the secret cow level” in Diablo 4.

Patch 1.3.1 was a rather small patch of roughly 5 GB, and the number being more than 18 billion gigabytes had to be a bug. Some players even joked about the Uber Boss materials as they said: “8 Billion gigs of Mucus Eggs and Shards of Agony.”

“Get a couple million hard drives and let us know how this works out” suggested one player as well, while others asked them to get a “bigger SSD” to accommodate the download. Some players even drew comparisons with Call of Duty as they claimed that it was “somehow still smaller than the latest COD.”

Even though the community had a laugh about the issue, it was just a visual bug and it is quite unlikely that the OP had to sit through a download that large.
