Diablo 4 Season 3 is now live, but players have not been happy with the content so far, with some saying that it is “worse than Season 1.”

Diablo 4 developers promised players a lot for Season 3, and at first, fans were tentatively excited when the trailer was released alongside the Campfire Chat hosted on January 18.

Since Season 1, Diablo 4 players have not shied away from expressing their disappointment in seasonal content and mechanics.

Now, it seems that Season 3 is no different, and according to some players in the community, worse than ever before. Complaints from players range from the new pets being irrelevant to content being boring.

As ‘artosispylon’ said in a post on Reddit, “The robot minion you get is not interesting at all, the Sanctums you go to are incredibly boring, the last room seems to always just be a boring room filled with traps and a bunch of mobs, and there is a rare spawn which is literally the first boss you fight in Diablo 4 with a f**kton of health and seems to be their new version of Butcher but it’s a boring reskin.”

The OP went on to explain that the open-world content feels like a “worse version of the Season 2 Vampire world,” and the seasonal upgrades for the robot minions don’t feel like a reward because they make very little impact.

The overall feeling of Diablo 4 players in the comments of the post was that they are bored with the content so far. With some players already having reached level 50 and up, they don’t expect that it’s going to get much better later in the season.

“Vaults will go down as the worst content of any D4 game EVER, mark my words, that s**t is absolutely atrocious,” one player commented.

Players are feeling disappointed with the new season, especially because it has met some expectations that it would just be a filler season before the larger updates in Season 4. “Looked bad as soon as it was announced. Massive step back from S2,” one player explained.
