Diablo 4 players demand fixes to make “redundant” bosses more rewarding

With endgame Uber bosses being the main aspect of Diablo 4 Season 4’s gameplay, many players want the devs to pay more attention to the mid-game Uber bosses and put out some fixes for them.

With more and more players striving for Uber Uniques in Diablo 4 Season 4, some players feel that the mid-game bosses such as Varshan and Lord Zir are being neglected. While they don’t have a massive chance of dropping an Uber Unique, players still have to farm them to progress further.

Varshan, Lord, Zir, and other mid-game Uber bosses might not be the biggest attractions in Diablo 4’s gameplay due to their rewards, but players still need to farm them relentlessly to get the required mats for competing against Uber Duriel and Andariel.

Reddit user ‘yxalitis’ posted about this in the Diablo 4 subreddit, as they called for fixes to the mid-game bosses. They called the farming process “tedious,” as they had no other choice but to run hundreds of such fights just to gain adequate materials.

“Make them level with your character to 100, seems odd that the outer dungeon to Zir is 100, then drops for the boss area,” added the OP. With these bosses being mid-game Ubers, most of the time they get quite easy when players are in the endgame stage, which is not exactly a good experience for many.

Diablo 4 mid-game Uber bosses need a rework, according to players.

The OP further added how mats were heavily imbalanced, and some of them were much harder to get than others. “Varshan mats feel rare in comparison to other boss mats. They need to buff them or give us a way to transmute,” added another player while being on the same page as the OP.

With good quality loot being a massive aspect of this season in Diablo 4, players are striving for Uber Uniques more than ever. Perhaps this is the biggest reason why these mid-game bosses are being neglected, while new endgame bosses like Andariel are being introduced at the same time.

Another major issue is the scaling, as these bosses don’t scale with the player. Diablo 4 has always been a dynamically scaling world with players’ levels, but Uber bosses tend to remain at the same level for both World Tier 3 and 4.

“Since the item reworks, it unfortunately made some of the bosses’ content almost completely redundant, too easy, and not enough useful loot – just a chore for mats,” mentioned another player while others described the bosses as “annoying.”

With Season 4 being a massive hit due to new changes and swift fixes, it’ll be interesting to see how Blizzard handle these complaints.
