Diablo 4 Season 3 is out with several new additions and the trap rooms found in Vaults are the most talked about among them, with many threatening to quit the game over the feature.

Diablo 4 Season 3 has not even been out for an entire day and the community is already furious with several aspects of the update. Although the devs have included some innovative additions like the Seneschal Companions and leaderboards, there’s one thing the players are unhappy about.

The addition of trap rooms in the Vaults has angered a vast majority of Diablo 4 players in the community as many are not fond of its mechanics introduced in Season 3. Some are straight-up disappointed while others are even threatening to quit the game.

Reddit user ‘Moogy’ posted about this issue along with many others in the Diablo 4 subreddit as they asked: “Who at Blizzard thought adding trap rooms to the game was a good idea?” before adding that they were “absolutely terrible.”

Traps are new mechanics added in Diablo 4 that the players encounter whenever they step inside the Dungeons or Vaults in Season of the Construct. However, the OP claimed that it might even lead them to “quit the season.”

Almost everyone else in the post agreed with the OP as they added that “it’s bizarre” how such mechanics are added in a game like Diablo 4. They even drew comparisons with D4’s direct competitor, Path of Exile, and how they stopped adding traps a decade ago because the devs realized that “it was awful.”

Others found the Season of the Construct to be “tone-deaf” after making traps a major part of the gameplay. As most players do not find “precise movement” to be a major prerequisite for enjoying Diablo 4, they are majorly unhappy with the inclusion of traps.

As the season just barely launched, the devs are yet to address this issue. However, just like every past season in Diablo 4, players will be hoping for them to acknowledge their feedback and provide a fix soon.
