The machine gun meta in Destiny 2 has seen a huge upgrade over the past few seasons. From Exotics to Legendaries, there are a considerable number of these weapons that you can add to your arsenal.
The Commemoration, however, is one of the best machine guns in Destiny 2. Initially added during the Beyond Light expansion, this weapon soon rose to popularity and can be used across multiple activities including Raids and Grandmaster Nightfalls.

How to get Destiny 2 Commemoration machine gun
To get the Commemoration machine gun in Destiny 2, you will have to participate in the Deep Stone Crypt raid. Unfortunately, the weapon does not drop from all the encounters, so you will either have to fight your way to the final encounter of the raid.
Alternatively, you can also craft this weapon, but you will have to extract the pattern from five different copies of the Commemoration in Destiny 2. You can do this by collecting red border weapons from the chest, or you can use the Deepsight Harmonizer on five different copies of this weapon.

BungieIt’s unlikely that you’ll be using the Commemoration in PvP activities in Destiny 2. However, if you intend on doing so, here are the rolls that you should be looking out for:

In certain activities, where the boss moves around too much, it’s good to use the Commemoration during the boss DPS phases. Alternatively, if you need a weapon to clear ads while your team focuses on the mechanics during an encounter, the Commemoration is a wonderful choice. Keeping that in mind, here are the rolls that you should ideally focus on:
- Barrel: Arrowhead Brake
- Magazine: Accurized Rounds / Tactical Mag
- Perk 1: Reconstruction / Feeding Frenzy
- Perk 2: Killing Tally / Rampage
