Cyberpunk 2077 received a wealth of new content with the releases of Phantom Liberty and Update 2.0. Among other things, the game’s level cap also got an upgrade so here’s how it works.

Phantom Liberty and Update 2.0 have brought many changes to Cyberpunk 2077. Besides a slew of new features, a brand-new campaign, new cars, and weapons, the releases have also updated the game’s mechanics. This includes the game’s level cap which pairs nicely with the revamped skill tree.

What is the level cap in Cyberpunk 2077 Phantom Liberty?

With Phantom Liberty, Cyberpunk 2077‘s level cap has been bumped to level 60. Previously, V capped out at level 50, but with the expansion, players can now gain 10 more levels. When combined with the newly refined skill tree, these extra levels are sure to come in handy. By reaching level 60, players can earn 10 attributes and 10 perk points.

It’s important to remember that the increased level cap is tied to the Phantom Liberty expansion. Players who don’t own the expansion but have installed Update 2.0 will still have the initial level 50 cap.

Climbing beyond level 50 doesn’t require a ton of grinding, since Phantom Liberty’s main quests and side gigs reward players with plenty of XP. As for the newly added relic skill tree, this can only be upgraded by finding Militech data caches spread around Dogtown.
