The DG-58 has emerged as one of the best weapons in Modern Warfare 3 since launch, and CoD expert FaZe Swagg has revealed an in-game setting to make it even more “OP.”

The Modern Warfare 3 meta is beginning to take shape, as the community discovers which guns are most likely to carry them to victory. While many feel that SMGs are a little underpowered, it’s no surprise to see Assault Rifles dominating matches.

There are plenty of top options in the category, but the Holger 556 and DG-58 have established themselves as two of the very best weapons in the game. The DG-58 has even been banned in pro tournaments due to its burst-fire rate.

But the AR is still available in regular Modern Warfare 3 lobbies and CoD guru FaZe Swagg has shared how to make the DG-58 even more “broken” by tweaking one easy setting.

In his November 17 video, Swagg explained that players should head to the Settings menu and switch the Manual Fire Behaviour to “Hold.” This can be found under the Gameplay tab of the Controller Settings section.

By adjusting this option, players will no longer need to repeatedly spam the trigger to fire the DG-58. Instead, the rifle will automatically fire burst after burst as long as the trigger is held down.

This may seem like a relatively minor change, but Swagg felt that it had a drastic impact on how the DG-58 performs in Modern Warfare 3.

“It makes it one of the craziest guns ever to exist in Call of Duty. If this was in Warzone it’d be the most OP,” he explained in his video. “The fact that this is a feature is insane, I can’t even believe they put this in.”

He then went on to show the DG-58 in action by using it to earn a Tactical Nuke in multiplayer, where he described the gun as “absolute insanity.”

While the DG-58 Assualt Rifle has already made a name for itself in MW3, this straightforward change seems to take it to another level. Once the community catches on to the setting, don’t be surprised to see it become even more dominant in matches.
