Following Microsoft’s purchase of Activision, the PlayStation-exclusive Operator Oni began appearing early in Warzone and Modern Warfare 2 on both Xbox and PC.

Following Activision Blizzard’s acquisition by Microsoft on October 13, CoD players are expecting significant changes to arrive to their favorite titles, including Warzone, Modern Warfare 2, and the upcoming Modern Warfare 3.

Among the changes, Xbox have already announced their intention to allow all Call of Duty players to access content simultaneously, eliminating platform-exclusive content similar to what PlayStation had with the franchise since 2015.

On October 17, following The Haunting update, the Oni Operator, which was introduced as exclusive PlayStation content, began to appear on Xbox and PC coinciding with the merger of Activision Blizzard and Microsoft.

Will Warzone & MW2 Oni Operator be released on Xbox and PC?

The Oni Operator only appeared on PlayStation platforms before Microsoft’s acquisition of Activision.

Despite no information being revealed on whether the Oni Operator will be released on Xbox and PC, it has been confirmed that the Oni Operator Combat Pack is set to continue to be exclusive to PlayStation until October 27, 2023.

Currently, Oni is only available for all PlayStation users who have an active PS Plus subscription. During MW2 and Warzone’s seasons, Oni has received six different skins, each one related to the theme of the season in which it was launched.

Following its appearance on the Xbox and PC versions of Warzone and Modern Warfare 2, players believe that once the exclusivity date has passed, the Operator will finally become available to use on all platforms, keeping in mind that it will carry over to Modern Warfare 3 when it launches on November 10.

“I’m glad its not going to be an exclusive skin anymore. Oni is a sick skin IMO,” expressed a player below CharlieIntel’s X post. “Good, very glad that moving forward no matter the platform you choose to play on when it comes to Cod there will no longer be any exclusivity on any level,” added another player.

We’ll have to wait and see if Oni will be officially available on Xbox and PC in the near future. We’ll be sure to update if any new information becomes available.
