MW3 players share “epic” Zombies trick to skip weapon unlock grind
ActivisionModern Warfare 3 players have discovered a trick to unlocking and leveling up weapons extremely fast in Zombies, allowing them to effectively skip the unlock grind.
Modern Warfare 3 has landed and like any other Call of Duty game release, players are flocking into the servers to rank up as fast as possible to unlock all of the new weapons, attachments, Perks, Field Upgrades, and Equipment.
Unless you have an abundance of Double XP Tokens, this will take some time. While players can utilize the new Armory Unlock system to gain desired weapons faster than their unlock level, it seems there’s another way to skip the grind completely.
Over on the MW3 subreddit, players were discussing Zombies, as OP ‘Glaive001’ shared their positive experience with the mode, calling it “the best mode for casuals.”
In response, a user shared a great trick to skip the “level grind” in Modern Warfare 3, as they said, “If you want to unlock weapons early, you can just extract them when you find them in mwz.”
Like DMZ in MW2, players can go into Zombies, find weapons they don’t have unlocked, and just extract with them for an easy unlock. After doing this, the weapon you extract with will be unlocked for multiplayer, as the user shared that they “completely skipped the level grind for the Uzi” through this method.
For those unsure, to extract weapons in Modern Warfare Zombies, you need to extract “via a heli.” You can find extract spots indicated on the map.
This is a great trick for unlocking weapons fast, especially since the Armory Unlock system isn’t the most loved mechanic in the game. As one comment pointed out, one of the reasons this method is great is because “it’s PvE, which means it should be easier.”
Players loved this method, as one user called it “epic,” while another said, “looks nice and chill to me.” So, for those who don’t want to sweat and grind to unlock weapons, head into Zombies and extract weapons for a more casual experience.
