Warzone 2 guru shows off “powerhouse” SMG loadout perfect for Ashika Island

Warzone 2 expert Metaphor has highlighted a deadly SMG loadout that’s a “powerhouse” which is capable of obliterating the competition in Season 2’s Ashika Island.

When Season 2 went live, Warzone 2 players were treated to a major content drop that brought a new Resurgence map known as Ashika Island, and this location provides plenty of close-range battle opportunities.

As you navigate the tight quarters of this map, you’ll need to use a powerful SMG to take out enemies that pop up from around the corner. Now, Warzone 2 guru Metaphor has highlighted one that may be the new meta.

In his video, Metaphor stated that the PDSW 528, also known as the P90, is “hitting different” in Warzone 2 Season 2. After testing out different SMGs, he decided that this weapon is a “top-tier meta SMG.”

The Warzone 2 expert explained: “I know guns are being shifted around a little bit, but the P90 has come into favor even though it hasn’t actually got buffed itself. It’s feeling really good this season so I do recommend giving it a try.”

Metaphor’s “Powerhouse” Warzone 2 PDSW 528 loadout

Laser: VLK LZR 7MW
Optic: Cronen Mini Pro
Stock: Hollow Extended Stock
Comb: TV Taccomb
Ammunition: 5.7X28MM Armor Piercing

The VLK LZR 7MW laser and TV Taccomb comb improve the weapon’s aiming stability as well as the sprint to fire speed. Metaphor recommends running the Cronen Mini Pro optic because the weapon’s iron sights are “completely unusable.”

Using the Hollow Extended Stock buffs both aim walking speed and sprint speed for improved mobility. Finally, Metaphor tuned the 5.7X28MM Armor Piercing rounds for extra bullet velocity and damage range.

The Warzone 2 expert concluded by describing the P90 as an “absolute beam and a close-range powerhouse.” So, be sure to give it a try if you prefer to take on your enemies up close.
