Warzone 2 players had discovered an exploit that allowed them to use unlimited Equipment in matches, and developers Raven Software have now released a temporary solution while they work on a fix.

Warzone 2 Season 3 Reloaded is in full swing, after the patch brought a ton of new content to the battle royale. The mid-season update delivered two new Handguns for fans to try out, as well as the long-awaited Ranked Play beta.

However, since the update went live, players also discovered an exploit that has been disrupting matches, allowing them to bombard enemies with unlimited Equipment.

This was done by adding a custom Perk Package to your inventory that included the Resupply Perk. Each time the package was selected, Resupply would automatically refill a player’s Lethal and Tactical slots, essentially giving them an infinite number of Equipment to use.

Warzone 2 squads used this to unleash a constant flurry of Drill Charges and Semtex on their enemies, giving them very little chance to launch a counterattack.

Luckily, on May 15, Raven Software revealed they have pushed out a short-term solution that will prevent players from spamming the exploit while they work on a fix.

They said: “We’ve released a minor update to disable the ability to stow Perk Packs in Backpacks. This is a temporary measure that will reduce the impact of abusing the Resupply Perk while we work on more permanent fix slated for later this week.”

They also shared a link to their official Trello board, where a card confirmed they are “investigating an issue allowing Players to generate Lethal Equipment at a much higher rate than intended” using the Resupply Perk.

While the devs didn’t give an exact date on when the permanent fix would be released, fans can expect it to arrive in the coming days. Only time will tell how they go about solving the unlimited Equipment problem, but a tweak to how the Resupply Perk functions in Warzone 2 could be the neatest fix.
