Here’s how Perk Packages will work in Warzone 2 Ranked Play, as the competitive mode brings some changes to the battle royale.

Warzone 2 Season 3 Reloaded introduces the community to the Ranked Play beta, a competitive version of the battle royale which allows players to test their skills against others.

As Warzone 2 players grind Ranked Play, they will progress through Skill Divisions and try their best to reach the heights of the top 250 players. Ranked Play introduces some interesting changes to the battle royale experience in comparison to the standard casual matches.

For example, Buy Stations will have a consistent inventory and unlimited items, so players can keep purchasing UAVs, albeit at a higher price. Further, the Season 3 Reloaded update also introduces preset Perk Packages in Supply Boxes and Buy Stations for both ranked and casual.

However, in Ranked Play, there will be an easy way to regain your Perks after being eliminated and redeploying.

Can you get Perks in Warzone 2 Ranked Play?

Yes, you will be able to get Perks in Warzone 2 Ranked Play, either through finding preset Perk Packages in Supply Boxes, purchasing them at a Buy Station, or getting them with your loadout.

As far as we know, there are no limitations on the Perks you can use in Warzone 2 Ranked Play, as the only limitation to your loadout is that you can not use a Riot Shield.

Do Perk Packages drop as loot in Warzone 2 Ranked Play?

According to FaZe Swagg and Repullze, who were lucky enough to play an early build of Warzone 2 Ranked Play, Perk Packages will drop on the floor as “a little crate” if you have them when you die.

This means that players can drop back into the match after either winning their Gulag or being bought back and drop on their stuff to pick up their Perk Package and other items, so long as an enemy hasn’t stolen it all.

This allows players to get back on their feet quickly after returning from death, making the game faster-paced as players don’t have to waste time trying to get their Perks again through a Loadout Drop.

They also mentioned that they were able to stow Perks, which could be really strong as players can save Perks like Ghost and High Alert for the relevant situations.

It’s unclear if Perks will work the same way in casual matches but these mechanics were present in the Ranked Play build that content creators tested out. We’ll know for sure once Season 3 Reloaded drops on May 10, so stay tuned for updates.
