The Modern Warfare 2 and Warzone 2 Season 5 Reloaded update brings yet another selection of camos for players to earn by grinding in-game challenges. Here’s everything you need to know about the Modern Warfare 2 and Warzone 2 Faction Showdown camo challenge, including all the objectives.

Warzone 2 and Modern Warfare 2 Season 5 Reloaded is a major update for both games, bringing a ton of new content. Players have new weapons like the Lachmann Shroud to unlock, along with the long-awaited Lara Croft Operator.

The mid-season update also marks the start of a new camo challenge, where fans can unlock a host of free cosmetics for their favorite guns by completing challenges.

Warzone 2 & Modern Warfare 2 Faction Showdown camo challenge dates

The Modern Warfare 2 and Warzone 2 Faction Showdown camo challenge got underway on Wednesday, August 30, 2023, the same day that the Season 5 Reloaded update went live.

Players have until the end of Season 5 to grind every camo, which is scheduled to go on until September 26 based on the in-game timer. Once Warzone 2 Season 6 begins the challenges will be removed, so make sure you’ve completed every challenge.

The mid-season update brings plenty of fresh content.

The Modern Warfare 2 and Warzone 2 Faction Showdown camo challenge brings two sets of objectives to complete, one for weapons and another for vehicles. Check out all the weapon challenges in the Modern Warfare 2 and Warzone 2 Season 5 Reloaded camo event below:

Weapons

Assault Rifles: Get 250 Operator Kills with an Assault Rifle.
Battle Rifles: Get 40 Operator Kills while Prone with a Battle Rifle.
Marksman Rifles: Get 40 Operator Kills while using a Suppressed Marksman Rifle.
Launchers: Get 75 Enemy Kills using Launchers.
LMGs: Get 30 Operator Longshot Kills using an LMG.
Melee: Get 30 Enemy kills using Melee weapons.
Handguns: Get 50 Enemy Headshot Kills with a handgun.
Shotguns: Get 3 Operator Kills without Dying 10 times using a Shotgun.
SMGs: Get 100 Operator Headshot Kills with an SMG.
Sniper Rifles: Get 50 Operator Headshot Kills with a Sniper Rifle.

The devs have confirmed that each challenge will unlock a new camo for every gun in that class. Those who tick off all 10 challenges will then be rewarded with a special Mastery Camo which applies to every weapon in the game.

Vehicles in Warzone 2 and Modern Warfare 2 Season 5

The Season 5 Reloaded camo event brings new vehicle challenges.

Modern Warfare 2 and Warzone 2 Faction Showdown camo challenge also brings vehicle objectives for the first time, and we’ve listed the below:

Vehicles

JLTV: Get 30 Enemy kills by running them over with the vehicle.
Armored Truck (DMZ Only): Ram 5 enemy vehicles at high speed.
ATV: Stay in the air while in the vehicle for 15 seconds.
Heavy Tank: Get 20 Operator kills with either turret.
Hatchback: Get 10 Operator kills while leaning out of the vehicle.
Light Helo: Refuel your helicopter at 10 different gas stations.
PWC: Visit 5 POIs while driving the vehicle.
Armored Patrol Boat: Get 20 Enemy kills with the boat turret.
Dirt Bike: Perform 20 air tricks with the Dirt Bike.
MRAP: Get 30 Operator kills using the turrets on the MRAP.

Just like the weapon objectives, each challenge unlocks a new camo for that specific vehicle. There are also Mastery Rewards that can be claimed by completing six of the vehicles listed above, which consist of a new Weapon Blueprint, Loading Screen, and Emblem.
