Warzone pros flock to forgotten SMG after “huge buffs” in Season 5

Popular Call of Duty content creator FaZe Booya has revealed a new Warzone 2 SMG loadout which he claims players in the pro tournaments are using after receiving a “huge buff” in the Season 5 update.

Warzone 2 Season 5 has certainly shifted the meta from the previous season, as weapons like the Lachmann Sub and Cronen Squall were heavily nerfed, leaving the TAQ-V and ISO 45 at the top of the pile.

That said, there is a weapon being severely overlooked that popular content creator and streamer FaZe Booya claims is actually a top choice after Season 5 buffs.

In the Season 5 update, the BAS-P received some changes which Booya refers to as “huge buffs” that have propelled the weapon into the meta, so much so that “a lot of people are using it in the pro tournaments.”

The changes included buffs to its maximum damage range as well as multiplier increases to the neck, upper torso, and lower torso. So, if you’re looking to take advantage of these buffs and use the BAS-P for yourself, luckily, FaZe Booya shared his best loadout for the weapon.

FaZe Booya’s buffed Warzone 2 BAS-P loadout

• Barrel: 10.5″ Bruen Typhon
• Laser: 1MW Quick Fire Laser
• Ammunition: 9mm Hollow Point
• Magazine: 50 Round Drum
• Stock: Bruen Flash V4 Stock

First off, FaZe Booya opts for the 10.5″ Bruen Typhon in order to improve the weapon’s bullet velocity and damage range, while also providing some sound suppression and hip fire accuracy.

As for the laser, the 1MW Quick Fire Laser is great for increasing the BAS-P’s aim down sight speed, which is important in close-ranged battles. To add crippling power to your bullets, the 9mm Hollow Point is a perfect choice, as this will slow down your enemies and allow you to get the finish after chasing.

The 50 Round Drum magazine is a must in Warzone, especially in squads, as this will allow you to keep firing and finish the job without having to reload in between kills.

Lastly, the Bruen Flash V4 Stock helps provide some extra mobility, increasing sprint, aim walking, crouch movement, and ADS speeds.
