Some players have been wondering if you can pause in Vanguard Zombies and we can confirm that the devs are working on a pause button.

Needless to say that Call of Duty: Vanguard Zombies has gotten off to a bit of a rocky start as many players have complained about the game’s lack of launch-day Zombies content compared to Black Ops Cold War.

But, it’s taken some users a while to realize that you can’t actually pause a game of Vanguard Zombies, even if you’re playing an offline Solo game.

Treyarch has sought to reassure players that they won’t have to worry about this for too much longer as a pause function is on the way.

We can’t recall if Zombies has ever lacked a pause option for offline Zombies before, but it’s most certainly the case for CoD Vanguard.

Treyarch announced in a Tweet that the game’s Zombies mode runs completely on dedicated servers, which is a major, positive step forward for fans.

But it was also added that they will be “adding Server Pause as a post-launch feature, so be sure to pull up the options menu to extend the timer if you need a quick bio break.”

It’s wise to follow Treyarch’s advice too as if players remain idle for too long, then the game will indeed boot the player out to the main menu.

There’s been no real explanation as to why Treyarch made this decision, but it looks like it shouldn’t be an issue for too much longer.
