Modern Warfare 3 Season 2 brings plenty of content to the game, including a The Walking Dead crossover, but Zombies players have called the amount of content coming to the mode at launch a “joke.”

The Modern Warfare 3 Season 2 update is set to be one of the biggest updates yet, bringing a selection of new weapons as part of the Battle Pass, fresh maps to learn and explore, and even a new Perk that could shake up the meta.

Meanwhile, Zombies is getting a host of new Schematics and a continuation of the Dark Aether story. However, fans were disappointed to learn that the lion’s share of content for the third mode will be arriving later in the season rather than at launch on February 7.

Reddit user ‘SuperAC1andOnly’ shared the MW3 Season 2 roadmap and said,” BREAKING: Modern Warfare Zombies gets nothing significant in Season 2 confirming Activision don’t give a s**t about us.”

Players were especially surprised by the “absurd” decision to delay Zombies content when a crossover with The Walking Dead is arriving at the start, with many arguing that the devs ‘dropped the ball.’

“Imagine doing a Walking Dead collaboration and adding nothing of any significance to zombies,” said one reply, before another added: “Right the content literally writes itself lmao what a joke.”

There were also plenty of ideas of how The Walking Dead could be incorporated, with some calling for enemies based on The Whisperers or Negan’s beloved Lucille as a Blueprint.

Other MW3 players looked at some of the new arrivals coming to Warzone and wondered why they couldn’t also be worked into Zombies.

“Imagine how hyped up people would get if we were getting a MWZ version of Fortune’s Keep or any of the other smaller WZ maps (Vondel or Ashika),” said another reply. “They already have Vondead and can reuse those assets for MWZ.”

Overall, MWZ fans were furious with the lack of new content coming to the mode, leaving many worried it was being left behind in favor of multiplayer and battle royale. Some even argued it “feels like DMZ all over again.”

Modern Warfare 3 Zombies players will be hoping that the additions planned for later in Season 2 are enough to keep them occupied until Season 3. In the meantime, be sure to check out how to get the Ray Gun and all of the free Perks in the mode.
