Modern Warfare 2 & Warzone 2 Season 3 trailer confirms Plunder, Al Mazrah Resurgence, Ranked & more
Plenty of content is making its way to Modern Warfare 2 and Warzone 2 with the Season 3 update and a brand-new trailer gives players a sneak peek at what to expect.
Modern Warfare 2 and Warzone 2 Season 3 will arrive on April 12 and the devs already confirmed that the update will bring the new Intervention Sniper Rifle and a new 6v6 map.
We also know that Season 3 will involve a face off between Alejandro and Valeria which will see them hit both games as new Operators.
On April 5, a new trailer for Season 3 of Modern Warfare 2 and Warzone 2 pulled back the curtain even further, confirming the exciting new content that is set to refresh both titles.
Modern Warfare 2 & Warzone 2 Season 3 trailer
The Modern Warfare 2 and Warzone 2 Season 3 trailer reveals Alejandro and Valeria in action as the former claims he is going to pursue the latter. The action continues and players can catch glimpses of what looks to be the new rainy Pelayo’s Lighthouse map.
The major reveals come one after another near the end of the trailer as the following Season 3 content is confirmed:
- Multiplayer maps
- Gunfight
- Cranked
- Al Mazrah Resurgence
- Plunder
- Warzone Ranked
- Blackcell
Before we focus on each announcement, it’s important to note the release timeframe for the above content. The devs stated that Resurgence will make its way to Al Mazrah at the start of Season 3, while Plunder and Warzone Ranked will arrive with the mid-season update.
For starters, the arrival of new multiplayer maps as well as Gunfight was previously revealed, but we now know that Cranked is set to appear in Season 3. Cranked is similar to Team Deathmatch with two teams aiming to reach a score limit. However, if a player doesn’t lock down a kill every 30 seconds, they’ll explode.
When it comes to Warzone 2, the devs previously revealed that Plunder and Warzone Ranked would arrive in Season 3 and beyond. This vague timeframe left players guessing, but we’ve finally received confirmation that both Plunder and Warzone Ranked will arrive in Warzone 2 Season 3.
The trailer also highlights Al Mazrah Resurgence, which is a new feature coming to Warzone 2 in Season 3. Players got their first taste of Warzone 2 Resurgence with the Ashika Island map, and in Season 3, Al Mazrah will receive the Resurgence treatment.
At this moment, there’s no telling what Blackcell refers to, but as soon as we know more, we’ll be sure to provide more information.
