Modern Warfare 2 players convinced secret fifth weapon arrives in Season 4 Reloaded

After it was revealed that Modern Warfare 2 Season 4 would see the introduction of four new weapons, fans have spotted what could be a secret fifth new addition to the arsenal.

The Modern Warfare 2 Season 4 update arrived on June 14 and it brought the new Tempus Razorback Assault Rifle, ISO 45 SMG, and Tonfa Melee weapon. Activision also revealed that a fourth weapon would arrive with the Season 4 Reloaded update, further adding to the list of weapons in Modern Warfare 2.

The fourth and presumably final weapon detailed in the Season 4 reveal is said to be a Shotgun. However, players aren’t convinced that Season 4 Reloaded’s Shotgun will be the final weapon to arrive during the season.

An eagle-eyed user by the name of ‘Lindeboombier’ took to the Modern Warfare 2 subreddit to reveal that the weapon charms for DLC weapons tell a different story. According to the user, “the weapon charms for dlc weapons always show the amount of dlc weapons for the season.”

In this case, the image in the post below reveals a Tonfa charm that indicates “Season 4 03/05,” suggesting that a secret fifth weapon could arrive before Season 5 rolls around.

As the OP explained in the comments: “We have so far the iso smg, razorback assault rifle, tonfa melee, blog said automatic shotgun coming up at season reloaded, but nothing about a fifth weapon yet.”

The weapon charm has led to a ton of speculation among fans, with several commenting on which weapon they would love to see join the Modern Warfare 2 arsenal.

The most popular suggestion by far was the classic G36: “I want the g36 again, I love that gun.”
