Dr Disrespect believes that the new FPS game he is working on under Midnight Society is more impressive than Modern Warfare 2.

It’s clear that Dr Disrespect isn’t too fond of how Call of Duty has been handling its releases, criticizing the Godzilla and King Kong event, as well as claiming that marketing is saving the franchise upon Modern Warfare 2‘s announcement.

Now, the 2x Champion has shared his opinion on the Modern Warfare 2 reveal, claiming that the MW2 engine can’t match the FPS game his development studio is working on.

Last week, Call of Duty fans were given a sneak peek at Modern Warfare 2 gameplay during Summer Game Fest.

The showcase presented gameplay from the game’s campaign mission “Dark Water.” While some fans were impressed by the gameplay and audio specifically, Dr Disrespect seems to be disappointed.

In a recent stream, the Doc shared his opinion on the gameplay, “Man, you talk about looking at an engine that is really on its last legs…I mean that engine feels outdated…unimpressive.”

In addition, Dr Disrepect then compared the Modern Warfare 2 gameplay reveal to the game that he and his development studio, Midnight Society, are working on.

The popular streamer says: “I could take a screenshot of our game right now, in-game, in-engine, a screenshot of it, and I don’t think anything from what I saw there could match it, could match that screenshot.”

Not only does this indicate that Dr Disrespect is unimpressed with Modern Warfare 2 so far, but his claims will also generate some hype for the FPS game Midnight Society are working on. We are yet to see any gameplay of Dr Disrespect’s FPS, but as more information is released, we’ll be sure to cover it.
