After teasing that the reveal would be “soon” in April, DICE has finally announced the date for the game’s official reveal. Here’s how to be one of the first to see what 2021’s Battlefield game will have in store.

Battlefield 2021 teasers

Since revealing the date for the Battlefield reveal, DICE sent out a ton of cryptic teasers. First, content creators received redacted messages that came together to give us a tease for the game’s setting, where a catastrophic event has destroyed the world as we know it.

Then, teasers for Battlefield 2021 started appearing in previous Battlefield games, DICE and EA sent out more video teasers, and updated their Twitter profiles to include the glitchy theme that’s been consistent throughout all of BF2021’s promotional material.

What all of these teasers mean will be sure to come clear during the game’s official reveal.

What to expect

The full reveal trailer has reportedly leaked online already. This leaked trailer featured music by 2WEI, robot dogs, juggernauts, and a massive rocket launch. Industry insider Tom Henderson, one of the first to see this leaked trailer, said that it may leave more questions than answers.

However, sources have claimed that the reveal trailer will be completely different from the one leaked online. Tom Henderson said his sources told him that “we’ll almost certainly be seeing a different reveal trailer from the one that has leaked online.”

At the very least, we’ll finally get confirmation on its setting, weapons, and official title. Although early leaks claim that the game will just be called BATTLEFIELD, there are new rumors that the game will be called Battlefield 2042.

Battlefield 2021 is set to release in Q4, will launch on both the last and current generation of consoles, and is heavily rumored to be a day one release on Xbox Game Pass.
