BG3 players enjoy the game and its thousands of ways to play it, be it that they choose to be the heroes or the villains of the story. But some Baldur’s Gate 3 are embarrassed about missing some key elements of the story, and they share their shame with the community.

Baldur’s Gate 3 is a game that has a considerably huge amount of things to do during each of the three acts of the main story. Many of the players have found treasure, weapons, points of interest, shortcuts, and ways to defeat strong bosses.

But some of those details can be missed by distracted players, and Baldur’s Gate 3 can be particularly distractive. So there’s no shame in recognizing when you omit a key element of the game, especially a game as big as this turn-based RPG.

But these players are sharing a lot of details they are embarrassed of missing in their first Baldur’s Gate 3 run, and others are finding their late discoveries tremendously useful.

This was posted by Reddit user ‘MetasplotReddit’ with the quote: “What took you too long to realize you could do?” The OP then proceeded to confess they didn’t know about the Tadpole power-ups until way after they ended their first run.

But the OP wasn’t the only one ashamed of missing some key elements of the award-winning RPG, these Baldur’s Gate 3 players confessed that they didn’t know about the usefulness of a popular wizard spell: “That I can use knock on basically everything. Never doing the stupid Shar Olympics again.”

The same player also added: “You can still 100% knock Balthazar open for the dark justiciars, though! And it works in act 3.” Knock is a Level 2 spell that unlocks every possible door, or magically sealed door in the game. Also works for chests, and locked mechanisms.

A distressed console player also confessed: “Jump with the up button and hold a torch by holding the up button!” And Baldur’s Gate 3 player answered: “1500 hours of playthrough and I just learned how to hold a torch.”

So there you have it, if you have missed any of the details these Baldur’s Gate 3 players shared when doing one of your runs, don’t stress, you are not the only one.

And speaking about details, here’s a detailed guide for Baldur’s Gate 3 Alchemy, and another one for building your own Ninja in Baldur’s Gate 3.
