Apex Legends has a reputation for its fast-paced movement, smooth gunplay, and team-oriented gameplay. However, some gamers are curious if the battle royale also has a solo mode. Here’s what you need to know about solos mode in Apex Legends.

Apex Legends has plenty of content for players to dig their teeth into, as each season brings something fresh and exciting, like a new Legend or map. That said, players have been calling for a solo mode in the game ever since the Iron Crown event back in Season 2, and it seems like they might finally be getting their wish.

So, for those wondering whether Apex Legends has a solo mode or not, here’s everything you need to know.

Is there a solo mode in Apex Legends?

Unfortunately, Apex Legends doesn’t currently have an exclusive solo mode in the battle royale playlist. However, leaks from reliable dataminer Osvaldatore claim that a permanent solo mode will be coming to Apex Legends in Season 21.

Keep in mind that these are just leaks and nothing has been confirmed, so take it with a pinch of salt. The devs have previously said that they wouldn’t include a solo mode, however, they have also said never say never, so we’ll be sure to update this piece as and when more information about a solo mode is revealed.

If you are not enjoying the regular battle royale mode, try the Apex Legends Mixtape playlist that consists of Gun Run, Team Deathmatch, and Control. Or, perhaps you’d like to solo queue to test your might, which is as close as you can get to a solo mode in Apex Legends at the moment.

How to solo queue in Apex Legends

Although it isn’t a true solo mode, there is a great way for lone players to enjoy the game through solo queuing in Duos, which is much more reasonable than trying it in Trios.

Select Battle Royale Duos on the lobby screen.
Above the game mode box in the bottom left of the menu, you should see an option called “Fill Teammates.”
Simply make sure this option is unticked before entering and match and you will jump in without teammates.
