When you hop into a game of Apex Legends, you’ll face tough competition from other players and the difficulty will progressively increase. You can improve your odds of success with the right sensitivity settings.

How to find your perfect sensitivity in Apex Legends

Everybody has different needs, so copying someone else’s sensitivity settings in Apex Legends won’t work. You will need to find your own perfect sensitivity by adjusting the settings as you see fit.

Perfecting this setting will take a few tries, which is why the firing range is the perfect place to try them out. You can take as much time as you need to find the right sensitivity without getting shot at.
Here’s what you need to do:
- Go into firing range
- Flick your recticle between the dummies and make note of its movements
- Go to the Main Menu
- Click on the gear symbol in the bottom right-hand corner of the screen
- Select Settings and then go to Mouse/Keyboard or Controller (depending on what you’re playing with)
- Adjust your sensitivity settings accordingly

It’s important that you make sure the sensitivity allows you to turn around in one full swipe. Enemies can sneak up on you from behind, and you’ll need to turn quickly in order to respond to them.
If you feel that your crosshair moves too quickly and goes too far then you’ll need to lower your sensitivity. However, if it’s moving too slowly and seems unresponsive then you’ll need to raise this setting.
