The Apex Legends Season 20 patch notes have been released, along with all the Legend Upgrades we can expect for the new season. Here are all the Perks coming to Legends in Season 20.

Apex Legends Season 20 is coming on February 13, and players can expect quite a few updates to how the game works. While there will be no new Legend, map, or weapon, the real changes come in the form of game mechanics.

One of the biggest changes coming is the introduction of Legend Upgrades and a rework to armor. Here is everything you need to know about the new Legend Upgrades in Apex Legends, including all of the Perks and how to get them.

What are Legend Upgrades in Apex Legends?

Legend Upgrades in Apex Legends are Perks that players can choose when they level up their armor while in a match. These Perks reset after each game.

Unlike in previous seasons, armor will no longer spawn on the ground. Instead, each player will spawn with white armor that they need to evolve by doing damage and helping the team.

You can level your Legend alongside armor Evo Shield in Season 20

With the Level 2 and 3 evolution of armor, players will be able to choose a Perk for their Legend. So, when you evolve from white to blue and blue to purple armor, you will have the option of two Perks each time to choose for your Legend.

How Legend Perks work in Apex Legends

Apex Legends players can choose 1 Legend Upgrade Perk once they reach Level 2 Evo Shield, and then they can choose another at Level 3 Evo Shield. These Perks offer unique bonuses to your character’s abilities and more.

While you can only choose Perks up to Level 3 armor, you will have two Perks to choose from each time you do. Each Legend has different Perks, with some being stronger than others depending on how popular the Legend is to play.

Players will also get Evo for kills, squad wipes, assists, and using abilities to aid in a battle that goes your way. So, you don’t only have to rely on damage to get to a point where you can level up your Legend.

With each Evo Level, you will get to choose a new Perk for your Legend.

Each Legend in Apex Legends will have a different skill tree with Perks to choose from, with less popular Legends having stronger Perks. When you level up your armor, you can choose one of two different Perks.
