GTA 6 is one of the most highly-anticipated games of all time with Grand Theft Auto fans searching for clues about its release date, and now Microsoft have revealed when it’s expected to arrive.

Grand Theft Auto players have been searching for news about GTA 6 ever since it was officially confirmed to be in development, but Rockstar Games have not provided a ton of information about the game.

Numerous reports claim that the game is years away from release, and fans have been trying to guess when GTA 6 is set to arrive. Now, we have gotten confirmation about its release window from Microsoft.

It’s stated in a 111 pages-long document from Microsoft and Sony about the acquisition of Activision Blizzard that “the highly anticipated Grand Theft Auto VI is expected to be released in 2024.”

In this document, Microsoft cites an October 22 report from Tech Radar as the source of this information about GTA 6’s release window. The game was mentioned for its shooter elements which are also present in Grand Theft Auto V and the Red Dead Redemption series.

While Microsoft is citing a report, it’s entirely possible that they also have insider knowledge about the sixth entry in Rockstar’s popular open-world video game franchise. If that’s the case then this release window might be accurate.

That said, it’s worth keeping in mind that this information hasn’t been officially announced by Rockstar Games or Take-Two Interactive, so it remains to be seen what the release date for GTA 6 will be.

Hopefully, we’ll get the release date and an official announcement for GTA 6 soon, as the developers have confirmed that the development will proceed as planned even after the recent gameplay leak.

Take-Two stated that GTA 6 will set creative benchmarks, and players are wondering how the developers intend to do that. As soon as more information about the game becomes available, we’ll be sure to let you know.
