Warzone’s OP Akimbo Snakeshots are back in Pacific Caldera
Call of Duty content creator ModernWarzone has revealed that Vanguard’s Top Break Mangum brings the incredibly overpowered Akimbo Snakeshot loadout back to Warzone.
Warzone has had more than its fair share of broken weapons, and the .357 Akimbo Snakeshots are still regarded as one of the worst. These dual-wielded pistols were more powerful than most Shotguns, and the developers at the time, Infinity Ward, were quick to nerf them.
However, it appears that these Akimbo Snakeshots have returned in the form of the Vanguard’s Top Break Pistols. These act much the same as the original Snakeshots and have the potential to dominate Caldera and Rebirth Island.
Warzone’s Double Barrel Shotguns became the most overpowered loadout over the holidays, and even though Raven Software hit them with a nerf, players are still unhappy.
However, the Vanguard Akimbo Snakeshot loadout could be ready to take their place as these Revolvers are as powerful as your favorite Shotgun. And the best part is that you don’t need to run Overkill to use them – you can take Ghost straightaway alongside the meta Assault Rifles.
This Akimbo Snakeshot loadout was revealed by ModernWarzone, who showed their potential by obliterating Rebirth Island players at close range. Plus, they have a much higher fire rate than the old Snakeshots, so you can fire off the 12 rounds extremely fast.

- Muzzle: F8 Stabilizer
- Barrel: Wilkie W-4 Stub
- Optic: G16 2.5x
- Trigger Action: Hair Trigger
- Magazine: .30 Russian Short
- Ammunition: M15 Shot Shell
- Rear Grip: Fabric Grip
- Perk: Akimbo
- Perk 2: Quick
ModernWarzone explained that this Top Break is “basically a Shotgun loadout” thanks to the M15 Shot Shell Ammunition. This makes the Top Break fire shotgun shells, massively increasing its damage radius – making the Akimbo Perk all the more lethal.
After choosing Shot Shell and Akimbo, ModernWarzone recommends you opt for attachments that boost its damage and range. These will make the Akimbo Snakeshot’s better at range and more forgiving.
And to be even more mobile while using the Top Break, you should use the Fabric Grip and Quick Perk 2, as this improves its sprint to fire speed and hip-fire accuracy.
