Warzone devs respond to return of “pay-to-win” invisible skin bug
Warzone players have reported seeing two invisible operator skins after the January 5 update, and this caught the attention of the devs who have promised a fix for the bug.
The January 5 update brought some major bug fixes to Warzone. One notable issue that the devs aimed to patch up was the controversial invisible skin glitch that was ruining the Awoken Francis skin in Caldera.
While the update was supposed to fix this problem, players soon reported seeing other operator skins turning invisible in the game. Now, the developers have responded to the return of this glitch.
Warzone players noticed that the Wraith and Weavers Dark Aether operator skins were turning invisible. Only their head, neck, and the weapons they carried were visible during matches, making them harder to kill.
While it’s still possible to shoot at the invisible parts of the skin and deal damage, not being able to see them properly makes it more challenging, giving those who use it an unfair advantage
Raven Software announced on January 10 that they are looking into this glitch, tweeting: “We are aware of the reports that certain skins are appearing invisible in Warzone. Please standby while we investigate this issue.”
At the time of writing, it’s unclear exactly what causes this glitch to occur in Warzone. Players have labeled the affected skins as “pay-to-win” and are hoping that Raven Software will implement a proper fix soon.
