Warzone 2 pro FaZe Booya unveils rapid “SMG” Hemlock loadout to take over Ashika Island
The ISO Hemlock has become an incredibly popular Assault Rife in Warzone 2 since being introduced in Season 2, but CoD pro Ean “FaZe Booya” Chase has unveiled a deadly SMG version that’s perfect for Ashika Island.
Warzone 2 Season 2 introduced a host of powerful new weapons that made an instant impact on the meta. The KV Broadside with Dragon’s Breath rounds has dominated both battle royale and Modern Warfare 2, while the Crossbow has become a popular Marksman Rifle.
The marquee gun introduced in Season 2 was the ISO Hemlock, and it immediately became a meta choice across both games, even receiving a ban in Modern Warafre 2 Ranked Play.
Players have gravitated towards it thanks to its low recoil and solid damage range, which is ideal for battle royale matches. However, FaZe Booya has revealed how to convert the ISO Hemlock into a close-range SMG to take over Ashika Island.
The new Resurgence map is geared around close-quarters fights rather than picking enemies off from a distance, meaning it has its own unique meta, and guns that are strong on Al Mazrah might not be as useful in its faster-paced matches.
Luckily, Booya explained that the ISO Hemlock can adapt to the smaller map with a build that focuses on movement and dispatching players at close range.

- Barrel: Cipher-121
- Optic: Cronen Mini Pro
- Stock: ISO Stockless Mod
- Rear Grip: Sakin ZX Grip
- Magazine: 45 Round Mag
The key to Booya’s SMG Hemlock loadout was the ISO Stockless Mod, which offers major movement bonuses including ADS and sprint-to-fire speed, as well as strafe speed to outmaneuver enemies.
Next up, he added the Cipher-121 and Sakin ZX Grip for improved recoil control, ensuring players can land their shots even at mid-range. He also equipped the Cronen Mini Pro for a clean but accurate optic, but you could easily swap this for your preferred sight.
Finally, Booya went for the 45 Round Mags to allow the Hemlock to eliminate multiple enemies before having to reload.
With this setup, the ISO Hemlock has the movement of an SMG while still retaining many of the qualities that make it a top-tier Assault Rifle. Don’t be surprised to see more players running it on Ashika Island in Season 2 Reloaded and beyond.
