Valorant Agent Iso

After Iso’s reveal as the new Agent coming to Valorant, analysts and pro players have already started talking about the problems the arrival could pose to the game.

After leaking before the reveal, Riot Games finally unveiled Iso, the newest addition to its Valorant Agent roster. With a full-fledged trailer showcasing Iso’s abilities and how to play him now out in the open, the community, pro players, and analysts have already revealed their opinions on the new Agent.

Valorant Analyst and ACEND Club’s content creator, Thinking Man’s Valorant, took the conversation to his YouTube channel and analyzed Iso’s place in the current meta. While mentioning that Iso might pose a threat to low-rank players, he also explained why Iso might not be a good choice for pro plays.

The general conversation when analyzing Iso revolves around his utilities and an Ultimate ability that sees players enter a 1v1 confrontation, similar to Call of Duty’s gulag.

Thinking Man’s Valorant says that the problem is not that Iso is overpowered, especially when factoring in this Ultimate ability that is a first for the game. The problem, according to his analysis, might be Iso’s combination with another Agent, namely Reyna. The two characters, combined with good aiming skills, can prove to be “very hard to kill” and “a deadly combination.”

The Valorant analyst states that Riot’s latest addition to the roster can work as a countermeasure for other Agents, but the problems start to crop up when these counters combine.

Using a similar example to what we could see with Iso and Reyna, ACEND Club’s content creator mentions Harbor and Viper being used together during the last VCT to completely smoke the map.

New Agents are always welcomed into the game, but in this case, it remains to be seen if analysts and pro players will pick Iso as their weapon of choice for VCT 2024. For more Valorant check out the latest 7.08 patch notes, or why players are furious about the RIOT ID changes.
