Thousands of fans are currently enjoying the highly praised Street Fighter 6 after seven years of playing the fifth installment of the franchise. Even though Street Fighter 6 has just been released, the development team has already revealed a lot of information about the Year 1 DLC.
If you’re not familiar with it, you should know that these annual DLCs introduce new characters, allowing players to devise new combat strategies with a wide array of mechanics that these new characters bring to the Capcom game.

Street Fighter 6 DLC Year 1 characters
Capcom confirmed that the first batch of Street Fighter 6 DLC characters will include A.K.I., Rashid, Akuma, and Ed.
Year 1 of Street Fighter 6 DLC will see four characters join the ensemble of 18 launch characters, bringing the total to 22.
These new Street Fighter 6 characters are designed to keep players engaged long after the initial release. While A.K.I. is a brand-new introduction to the Street Fighter franchise, Akuma, Rashid, and Ed have all featured before.
Street Fighter 6 DLC Year 1 release window
Capcom will release a new SF6 DLC character every few months, so players have plenty to look forward to throughout Year 1. The first one, Rashid, was released on July 24, and the next one on the calendar is A.K.I, whom we could see a bit better thanks to a teaser trailer posted on Street Fighter 6 YouTube channel.
Here’s the tentative release window schedule provided by Capcom:

- A.K.I: Autumn 2023
- Ed: Winter 2024
- Akuma: Spring 2024
These four Year 1 DLC characters will keep the game fresh and exciting, providing players with new challenges and strategies to master.
How to get Street Fighter 6 DLC: Price & availability
Players who have already secured Street Fighter 6 Year 1 DLC by pre-ordering certain editions of the game will have access to the next content:
