A Starfield player managed to make unnaturally high jumps that resemble older Elder Scrolls titles like Oblivion and Morrowind by maxing out their Gymnastics skills and using RedAmps.

In some Bethesda RPGs, primarily the Elder Scrolls titles like Morrowind and Oblivion, you could max out your Acrobatics skill and jump to ridiculously high levels. Players would also make use of certain glitches or exploits to almost reach the stars in these games. Now, one player has attempted something similar in Bethesda’s latest RPG Starfield.

Reddit user Space_Scumbag shared a video on the Starfield subreddit that shows their character jumping around New Atlantis like a Jedi. They jumped over to the highest points in the city effortlessly, with a high Gymnastics skill and RedAmps. With how smooth the animations were, it almost made Starfield seem like a parkour game. The cherry on top was the ambient background music from Oblivion.

While jumping around, the OP’s Starfield character did end up dislocating a limb or two. However, players don’t usually pay much attention to status afflictions unless they end up overencumbered or with extremely low health.

One Redditor corrected the OP and said, “Nah. That’s Morrowind Jumping there,” as Morrowind allowed you to jump even higher than this without exploiting any glitches.

Another Starfield player asked if flying into orbit when jumping from low gravity planets was possible. The OP tested it out and found that you can’t do that, as Bethesda most likely set some fixed values preventing you from flying away. Redditor ThawtPolice pointed out that Gymnastics is an often ignored skill in Starfield. As such, most players “didn’t realize you could do this until now.”

“Star wars mods are really going to be insane,” said one user who noticed the Jedi-like robes the OP’s character is wearing and felt that the high jumping in Starfield resembles the Force Jump ability in the Star Wars franchise.

Meanwhile, Starfield fans have already started making Star Wars mods for the game. There’s also an Anakin Skywalker Star Wars easter egg that players find hilarious.
