Character creation is one of the most exciting aspects of an RPG, and Starfield’s customization has already got fans excited. As the game nears its release date, there is now a way to plan and build your characters much earlier.

Bethesda have revealed quite a bit about the character creation system they’ve used for Starfield. You can customize your character’s face and body, but you also get to pick their background and traits. This allows for a true roleplaying experience where your characters have their own unique backstory.

Now, witnessing this hype over the character creator, Nukes & Dragons have made a build planner for Starfield. While it’s still a work in progress, you’ll get a general idea of how you want your character to be.

The information for the Starfield build planner was based on what Bethesda have unveiled so far, so it may be subject to change.

How to use the Starfield build planner

To create a character with the Starfield build planner, you’ll have to visit the relevant page on the Nukes & Dragons website.

Right now, you can select your character’s background, which gives you three starting skills, and then select up to three traits. You can keep adding more skills or leveling them up, which in turn increases your level.

This is pretty accurate to how Bethesda described their character progression system in Starfield. They might change things around when the game launches, but the Starfield build planner is expected to receive regular updates.

Apart from Starfield, Nukes & Dragons have made build planners and calculators for many Bethesda games like Fallout 4 and Skyrim, along with other RPGs like Cyberpunk 2077 and The Outer Worlds. So you can count on their expertise when you create a build for Bethesda’s upcoming space-themed RPG.

It’s quite common to spend hours during character creation in an RPG, so a build planner like this will ensure that you don’t spend too long creating your character in Starfield. Besides, with so many skills, backgrounds, and traits to choose from in Starfield, you won’t be wasting time reading about them if you plan ahead with the build planner.
