What are Adventure Effects in Pokemon Go?

After the Origin forms of Dialga and Palkia, Pokemon Go has introduced Adventure Effects for the Dusk Mane and Dawn Wings fusions of Necrozma.

These mechanics influence the Pokemon spawns around you and give special bonuses that make them an interesting feature.

So here’s everything you need to know about Adventure Effects, including their types and what they do.

Pokemon Go Adventure Effects explained

Adventure Effects are powerful abilities that some Pokemon can activate outside battle and provide certain effects for their trainers and the spawns around them. A sort of buff effect that will remain active for a certain period.

Each Adventure Effect is linked to a certain Charged Move and requires Stardust and Candy to be activated.

How to use Adventure Effects in Pokemon Go

1. Select the Pokemon with the appropriate ability, and then scroll down to the USE tab when outside combat.
2. A new window with a timer and the Stardust and Candy requirements will appear. Pressing the (+) button will add more Stardust and Candy, increasing the timer of the Adventure Effects.
3. Each activation costs Stardust and Candy, and grants some time for the Adventure Effect, up to a maximum of 2 Hours for each activation, and a total of 24 hours buff time at max (12 activations).

Roar of Time

Dialga Origin’s Roar of Time will distort time for six minutes, pausing the timer of the following items: Incense, Daily Adventure Incense, Lucky Eggs, and Star Pieces.

Spacial Rend

Palkia Origin’s Spacial Rend will distort space for six minutes, increasing the range at which trainers encounter spawns.

Sunsteel Strike

Dusk Mane Necrozma’s Sunsteel Strike harnesses the power of sunlight for 10 minutes, attracting daytime spawns and making them evolve at any time.

Moongeist Beam

Dawn Wings Necrozma’s Moongesit Beam harnesses the power of moonlight for 10 minutes, attracting nighttime spawns and making them evolve at any time.

Here are all the Moongeist Beam spawns:

• Alolan Rattata
• Clefairy
• Alolan Marowak
• Hoothoot
• Galarian Zigzagoon
• Lunatone
• Munna
• Amaura
• Rockruff

These effects stack and can be increased up to 24 hours each. It is also worth mentioning that multiple Adventure Effects cannot be running simultaneously but can be activated more than once, and stack, providing even more time to enjoy their boosts.
