Pokemon Scarlet and Violet feature a variety of unique Poke Balls that players can put to the test. One of the most useful Poke Balls in the game are Repeat Balls, so here’s how to get them in Scarlet and Violet.

The Poke Balls at your disposal will make catching certain Pokemon easier as you look to complete the entire Scarlet and Violet Pokedex. Each type of Poke Ball has a different trait and different catch rates that come along with it.

Of course, the best Poke Ball in Scarlet and Violet is the Master Ball, as it catches any Pokemon without fail. However, there are still a ton of useful Poke Balls to discover and the Repeat Ball is one of the best.

Here’s where to find and buy Repeat Balls in Pokemon Scarlet and Violet.

How to get Repeat Balls in Pokemon Scarlet & Violet

Once you’ve defeated three Gym Leaders in Pokemon Scarlet and Violet, you can purchase Repeat Balls for 1,000 currency at Poke Marts or Delibird Presents. You can use LP or in-game money you’ve stored up to buy Repeat Balls.

Repeat Balls are quite accessible, but you’ll have to meet the requirement of defeating three gym leaders first, which means they aren’t as available throughout the early game.

It’s also possible to pick up Repeat Balls from sparkling Poke Balls on the ground. Since it’s a rare Poke Ball, the chances are quite low, but it’s always worth exploring the following locations: Glaseado Mountain, Alfornada, Asado Desert, Socarrat Trails, North Province (Area One) East Province (Area One), and South Province (Area One).

What is a Repeat Ball in Pokemon Scarlet & Violet

The Repeat Ball is a Poke Ball that is more effective on Pokemon of a species that you’ve caught before. As its name suggests, the Repeat Ball has an increased catch rate against Pokemon you’ve already caught.

If you use the Repeat Ball on a Pokemon that is registered in your Pokedex, a 3.5x catch rate modifier will kick in. Since each Pokemon has its own catch rate, there’s no fixed increase, but the Repeat Ball instead will multiply the catch rate by a hefty 3.5x.

The Repeat Ball is perfect for catching shiny Pokemon since its catch rate is very high if you’ve already obtained that species.
