Pokemon Scarlet & Violet The Teal Mask is the first part of the two-part DLC called The Hidden Treasure of Area Zero. The Teal Mask will allow you to embark on a school trip to the land of Kitakami. There, you will meet several new Pokemon, and some returning old favorites.

To change Ogerpon’s form in Pokemon Scarlet and Violet The Teal Mask you need to give it any of its three Masks as a held item. Giving it a Mask will trigger a cutscene and Ogerpon will change into the associated form for the corresponding Mask.
Changing Ogerpon’s Mask will also change its type and ability. When Ogerpon is not holding any Mask it will remain in its Teal Mask form, so keep that in mind.
Changing Ogerpon’s form will also grant it a special hidden Ability called Embody Aspect that will trigger as it Terastallizes.

How to change Ogerpon Tera Type in Pokemon Scarlet & Violet Teal Mask
Ogerpon’s base Tera Type cannot be changed in Pokemon Scarlet and Violet The Teal Mask, since the whole mechanic behind the Mask change and its forms are linked to the Terastallize battle mechanic.
However, this means that its Tera Type will depend on the Mask it has equipped:
- Teal Mask: Grass Tera Type
- Wellspring Mask: Water Tera Type
- Hearthflame Mask: Fire Tera Type
- Cornerstone Mask: Rock Tera Type
