Mystery Egg Pokemon Scarlet & Violet DLC The Teal Mask

The Mystery Eggs date back to the Pokemon games of Gen 2, where trainers could get and hatch these for a special Baby Pokemon. In the Pokemon Scarlet & Violet DLC, there’s a hidden Mystery Egg in Kitakami Island, and here’s how to get it.

Pokemon Scarlet & Violet DLC: The Teal Mask is the first part of The Hidden Treasures of Area Zero, with The Indigo Disk being the second one and the DLC’s Epilogue the final one. With these, Nintendo and Game Freak brought new life into the Pokemon Scarlet & Violet games.

Players who purchased the two-part DLC pack will get instant access to Kitakami Island in The Teal Mask DLC as soon as they complete the entry parts of the base game.

Players arriving at Mossui Village will have a chance to obtain a Mystery Egg laid by a mysterious Pokemon, so here’s what’s inside and how to get it in the Scarlet and Violet DLC.

How to get Mystery Egg in Pokemon Scarlet & Violet DLC

To get the Mystery Egg in the Pokemon Scarlet & Violet DLC, you first need to reach Kitakami Island, and the Mossui Village. After completing the introductory quest, and being able to roam freely through Kitakami, here’s what you need to do:

  1. Turn northeast, and exit the village through the bridge.
  2. Look at your right and you will see Jacq under a tree.
  3. Talk to Jacq and accept having a picnic with him.
  4. He will tell you to take care of the Mystery Egg he has found.

Jacq will ask you to take care of the Mystery Egg during a picnic in Kitakami.

The egg will be automatically put in your party if you have space, otherwise, it will go to the first available space in your Pokemon Box.

What’s inside the Mystery Egg in Pokemon Scarlet & Violet DLC?

Walking with the egg for around 500 steps will trigger the hatch sequence, and you will be able to hatch one of the three starters from the Sinnoh region. Keep in mind that you can only get one Mystery Egg per saved file.

The Sinnoh starters have received a considerable buff along with The Teal Mask DLC patch, and they are part of the Kitakami Dex included in The Hidden Treasures of Area Zero’s update.

That’s how to get your own Mystery Egg in the Pokemon Scarlet and Violet DLC. If you need any guidance during your Kitakami adventures, you can check out the rest of our content:
