Pokemon Scarlet & Violet’s upcoming DLC The Teal Mask will be released soon, and players who have seen the most recent analysis of the game are excited about some of the upcoming mechanics.

Pokemon Scarlet & Violet‘s 2nd part of The Hidden Treasure of Area Zero is set to be released on December 14, 2023. While trainers wait for it to arrive, they are often sharing their thoughts on social media about some of the mechanics they would like to see in the game.

Among all the features revealed by The Pokemon Company during previous showcases of The Indigo Disk, it is expected that one of the most popular mechanics requested by players will be added to the DLC content.

Reddit user BenWhyte shared an image that sparked a heated debate in the Pokemon Scarlet & Violet community regarding the Fly Mechanic of the Pokemon Mount Legendaries: Koraidon & Miraidon.

One of the trainers commenting on this post expressed their thoughts: “I really hope flying with Koraidon/Miraidon is a permanent upgrade, I can imagine myself zooming through all of paldea as the game is so desperately trying to load in chunks of the island.”

BenWhyte answered back: “Or even if they just made it similar to the Braviary glide from Legends Arceus, would be better than it is now.”

And certainly, players haven’t seen either Koraidon or Miraidon taking flight, as they expected given the appearance during the cinematic introduction of both Pokemon in Scarlet and Violet.

Another player wrote: “I really hope there’s a battle tower of some sort though. The best part of Sw/Sh was bringing my level 100s into 3v3 and 4v4 matches without feeling like I was cheating and I’d honestly settle for any sort of NPC battle that scales their levels up to 100 or mine down to 50.”

The most recent showcases revealed that the DLC will be primarily focused on exploration and combat, as the players roam around the four Biomes surrounding Blueberry Academy.

While other players seem to be more preoccupied with the level of the content offered by the DLC: “I’m still curious to know about what levels to enter/prep my team for. Should I be entering with level 100 behemoths? Level 70-ish? How can I prep my team lol.”

We will have to wait and see what the new DLC brings to the game. In the meantime, if you happen to have some things left to do in the Teal Mask DLC, here’s a guide about the Pokedex completion and how to get Okidogi, Munkidori, and Fezandipiti.
