Pokemon Scarlet & Violet players convinced shiny Legendaries set to arrive soon

The Pokemon community might’ve found out when the box-art Legendaries of Scarlet and Violet will arrive in their shiny form officially after months of images and modded creatures flying around.

The Pokemon community is still officially missing two of the most sought-after shiny creatures in Paldea. Legendary Pokemon in the franchise are never easily encountered nor caught, and some of them are even missing from the game.

Without an official event, Koraidon and Miraidon, the two box-art Legendary Pokemon from Scarlet and Violet, are still missing from the game one year and a half since its release on Nintendo Switch.

Players have been speculating a lot and wanting these additions sooner rather than later. But it seems The Pokemon Company is saving these shiny catches for a more in-depth event or Raid, as they are in the game’s data but yet to be released.

“When do you think shiny Koraidon and Miraidon will be released?” asked Reddit user ‘eleceng_29’ to the community when sharing the screenshots of both shiny Legendary Pokemon from an X post.

The OP answered to himself stating that they think it will be around October or November 2024, if a certain pattern is true. “That seems to have been the pattern for the past decade when it comes to releasing shiny box legendaries (around two years after the games release),” ended the user.

“When SV is winding down and gen 10 is on its way, like Zacian/Zamazenta,” said a user when comparing the Koraidon/Miraidon situation to what happened with Pokemon Sword and Shield as well. “So maybe when we get Pokemon legends Z-A we can get this Pokemon,” joked another one.

When the Scarlet and Violet box-art shiny Legendaries are set to arrive is almost taboo in the community, as many users reminisced about past shiny Legendary Pokemon and how low its availability was worldwide: “Dont forget screw you if you come from anywhere other that US Europe or parts of Asia,” explained user ‘Georgevega123.’

All in all, Koraidon and Miraidon’s shiny versions are still missing from Pokemon Scarlet & Violet, and its players think the “two years after the game release” pattern could be the key to their release.
