Pokemon Scarlet & Violet leak hints at Mewtwo Tera Raid coming soon
The Pokemon CompanyThe one-and-only Mewtwo appears to be the highlight of Pokemon Scarlet and Violet’s recent patch, as Dataminers believe that Mewtwo will headline a future seven-star Tera Raid.
Pokemon Scarlet and Violet Tera Raids are one of the most popular post-game features. Tera Raids are the prime reason why players stay enthusiastic about Scarlet and Violet long after beating the game, and each month brings a new one for players to participate in. So players are always on the lookout for news regarding the next Pokemon Scarlet and Violet Tera Raid.
When the Tera Raid hosts a popular and/or powerful Pokemon, players are naturally hyped up more than ever. Now, a Pokemon Scarlet and Violet leak has revealed that a Mewtwo Tera Raid could arrive later down the line.
Pokemon Scarlet & Violet dataminer reveals Mewtwo Tera Raid
It all began when the Twitter user featured in the Twitter post above found an in-game dialogue about the Mythical Pokemon Mew in Pokemon Scarlet and Violet. The text read: “Mew is going to go all out against this formidable opponent!”
As per the dataminer, this dialogue would appear when Mew enters a Mewtwo seven-star Tera Raid.
Following this, on July 4, well-known Pokemon dataminer Sibuna_Switch shared the Twitter post below that showed Mewtwo as the highlight of the upcoming seven-star Tera Raid in Pokemon Scarlet and Violet.
Sibuna_Switch posted the tweet after modding the game to meet some specific requirements. They first swapped out a Chesnaught from an Unrivaled Tera Raid to a Mewtwo. On sending a shiny Mew into the battle, a special dialogue popped up. This caused a 20% buff to all Mew’s stats and a 50% HP buff.
Then, if Mew defeated Mewtwo in the raid, it was awarded the Mightiest Ribbon. On running tests with other Scarlet and Violet Pokemon, it was confirmed that Mew was the only Pokemon to receive the reward.
This speculation is fueled by the announcement of shiny Mew Pokemon Go Masterwork Research. Moreover, Mewtwo will be added to Pokemon Unite later this month. So Pokemon players are very excited at the possibility of seeing Mewtwo in Pokemon Scarlet and Violet Tera Raids.
That said, Pokemon players should know that no matter how credible all of this seems to be, there is yet to be an official announcement from Gamefreak or the Pokemon Company about Mewtwo in Pokemon Scarlet and Violet Tera Raids.
