A Pokemon player has shared on X an image showcasing every Pokemon transfer method throughout history, and the community is praising HOME after learning some valuable lessons.

Ever since the first Pokemon games, trading with your friends was possible. The connection between games has always been something players look out to in new Pokemon entries, but what happens when you need to transfer Mons to a newly released game?

From the Pal Park in Gen 4 to the Pokemon Bank in the 3DS era of games, the methods have changed a lot throughout the history of the franchise. It is still possible to bring a forgotten Blaziken you might’ve left on your GBA copy of Pokemon Ruby, and an X user has exactly what you need to bring it back.

The Nintendeal account on X found an image on Reddit explaining every method Pokemon has ever used to transfer Pokemon from one game to another. The methods go up to Pokemon Home, Game Freak’s latest active platform to bring mons into Pokemon Scarlet and Violet.

“They’re finally starting to settle into a nice system. Hoping they don’t throw it all away,” shared a user when pointing out that the franchise has discarded almost all methods after a few entries.

Even with all the praise for Pokemon HOME, some users angrily jumped into the post to share their disappointment: “It sucks how Gamefreak never made it possible to transfer Gameboy Pokemon from the original games to modern Pokemon Games.”

Other trainers added that the introduction of the Virtual Console versions of Pokemon Red, Green, and Yellow is the only way to have Gen 1 original mons inside Pokemon HOME: “…the VC to Pokemon Bank transfers do show that can be solved by just rerolling stats,” shared user ‘Lahiss’ in response to users disappointed by not being able to have their original Mons in S&V or HOME.

There is a lot to learn from this post, as Pokemon surely has had a lot of different transferring methods in its history, and many trainers thanked the OP for this: “My goodness, this is detailed!!!,” celebrated a fan.
