Pokemon Go players shocked by billion XP trainer stuck at level 45
NianticLeveling up in Pokemon Go can be stressful, and some players take more time than others to reach the maximum level. But this trainer seems to have enough experience to reach level 50, though, for some reason, they choose to remain at 45.
Pokemon Go requires players to level up by grinding incredible amounts of exp, and during Timeless Travels season there were many opportunities for Pokemon trainers to get the exp they needed to progress. However, this player seems to be stuck at level 45 for some mysterious reason, and trainers are wondering why.
But to put you in some context, leveling up past 40 requires you to complete a series of challenges, otherwise, the game locks you at a certain level unless you complete said challenges. Which can include: Catching X amount of Pokemon, hatching X amount of eggs, making excellent throws, and more.
So this player was surprised when finding out one of the trainers in their friend list was stuck at level 45, with a huge amount of exp. Was it that a bug, or something else?
According to the OP, “dude gave up” and ever since has been piling up enough experience to easily reach level 50, or further, if more levels existed in the game. Other Pokemon Go players can only guess what this player is stuck at, and throw lots of suggestions on which challenge is blocking this person from reaching max level.
One of them even stated: “None of these should be remotely challenging for someone with a billion xp. That’s insane.” While another one suggested: “It has to be out of spite. That’s the only thing that makes sense – to get that much XP and not complete any 1 of these requires some serious dedication.”
However, some observant players also mentioned that most of the tiered challenges to reach level 50 could be easily completed automatically while this person accumulated that unbelievable amount of XP. “The only thing that might not be done automatically is likely taking screenshots 7 days in a row.”
So there you have it, this Pokemon trainer might be refusing to level up out of spite. Or they might have some personal reasons that are yet to be discovered.
