A regular item in Pokemon Go has now become a scarce good, as players noticed Niantic silently tweaked down its drop rate.

Pokemon Go trainers have noticed a decrease in the drop rate of a certain item, and are trying to figure out if this was on purpose or not. According to players, this seems to be one of the many changes brought by Niantic during the World of Wonders rolled out through silent updates.

Alongside the new Avatar modifications, and the highly requested change in Party Challenge Rewards, Niantic seems to be tweaking down certain aspects of the game in between events.

But as many Reddit users have pointed out, the drop rates of certain healing items commonly found at PokeStops are steadily decreasing. Some of them have even pointed out this “gets worse as they level up.”

Now Revives have become a scarce good, and trainers are worried this becomes a tendency from now on. A Pokemon Go player named “Natural-Push2796” pointed out they felt like the decrease in Revive drops might be associated with Raid Days.

The OP also manifested: “Used to have 100 of each, now I have 12 revives and 7 max revives, Primal Kyogre destroyed me and I haven’t got any since.”

However, other players manifested that this decrease in healing items stocks is due to over-usage, since Raid Days require huge amount of Revives and Potions to keep your Pokemon team at top health. Another player has pointed out that trainers should “spin Gym discs, not PokeStops” since “Gyms grant more Revives and Healing Items.”

If you happen to run out of Revives, another player has provided a simple trick to remove the K.O. status from one of your partners: “You can revive a Pokemon if you level it up once, it gains like 2hp and then you can heal it with a potion.”

So next time you feel like you are locked out of Pokemon Go PvE activities due to a shortage of Revives, you might want to try that solution. In the meantime, you can plan ahead for the next Raids using this Schedule, and here’s all you need to know about the Sizeable Surprises event coming ahead.
