Pokemon Go players are going through a rough time, as one of the fan’s most enjoyable features was silently removed from the game. Here’s what the community says about it.

For Pokemon trainers, enjoying a Raid with their Pokemon Go friends must be one of the best things the mobile game has. But recently, there was a certain Raid-related feature removed from the game, and Niantic was quite stealthy when they sunsetted it.

For the Pokemon Go community, this loss has struck close to home, since the Ex-Raid Tickets were considerably positive and encouraged cooperation between the players.

Today, the Pokemon Go community mourns the loss of one of the best features in the game, and several players have taken to social media to complain about the removal of Ex-Raid Tickets from the game.

This Tweet originally posted by PoGOCentral served as an epitaph for the now-gone Ex-Raid Tickets, and players quickly gathered to share their stories about successful and challenging Raids they tackled together with their friends.

One of the players commenting on the OP said: “Those were the days. Getting an invite made me feel like I made it for real. These were the real elite raids. We had to coordinate in order to successfully take the boss down. Real teamwork. In person community was thriving back then.”

The OP agreed with this player and said: “So true! as soon as the passes came out, people were organising when to meet up and going into the raid based on your team colour so you could maximise the premier balls. Good community times.”

Meanwhile, another player expressed: “Genuinely sad how the replacement of this feature sucked and they didn’t work at all to improve it and axed it too basically. These should come back in an improved way tbh.”

In the unlikely case that Niantic decides to create a similar feature to replace the now missing Ex-Raid Tickets, we will let you know.
